The Case in the Corner
- Jimmy was a little crook
He’d cut corners if he could
Smart enough so he would know
What’s the catch and where’s the hook
- Johnny was a little runt
Causing mischief for his aunt
Called it honest to be blunt
She just couldn’t take his stunt
- Millie, she was quite a trollop
Aiming always for the top
Turning heads she shouldn’t turn
But that wasn’t her concern
- Marty thought his life was boring
And his nine-to-five appalling
Joined the movies, thought he’d make it
But he didn’t - so he faked it
- If you want to call his bluff
Cause you do not buy his stuff
He might turn you to his sister
Who was known to be a fact twister
- Maggie, too, she was a phoney
All she gave you was baloney
"Get a grip! You’d better stuff it
Cut the crap before you snuff it"
- Woody in the congregation
Gave a speech about salvation
Ruling out reincarnation
Showed his mental constipation
- Some are born to be a prankster
Some cut out to be a gangster,
Guru, politician, cheater
Makes you freeze? Turn up the heater
- Anyway, what’s more to say?
Wisdom took a holiday
In the corner sat a wit
Eating a banana split. Said,
- "Live a life you wouldn’t dare
Comb the blues out of your hair
Take a moment or a minute
Love your life, be really in it"
